We had our official maiden voyage of the truck camper a few weeks ago when we traveled with my brother and his wife to Raystown Lake for a weekend of camping and boating. B and I were pretty excited to get to try out our small camper for the first time and after having some issues getting the camper loaded into the truck, things went quite smoothly.

As soon as we met up with by brother, he and his wife immediately wanted to see inside. I was quite proud to show it off because I am absolutely in love with the result. I wouldn’t have gone with so much color but I am actually glad that B requested it. It’s so bright and cheery.

After adding in some accessories and seeing all the colors tie together, I decided not to finish putting up the fake back splash tile and funny enough, that was one of the first things my brother and sister-in-law noticed. They asked if the wallpaper was original or new because it looked perfect with the décor.

The floors balance everything out and I love that I was able to find a rug that tied into all the colors in the curtains so well. Even though the camper is from the late 80s, the stainless steel stove actually looks updated with all the new finishes.

We ended up removing the original frig because we couldn’t get it to work. We replaced it with a small white mini fridge that we’ve had for years. Being white, it blends in well and you’d never even notice that it didn’t belong.

B still needs to finish some construction work in the tiny bathroom and I am considering wallpaper with a fun pattern just to punch things up a bit but overall the camper is done and we really love how it turned out!
