Stitch Fix Reveal – September 2019

Lifestyle· Self Love

28 Sep

September is nearly over already but before the Calendar flips to October, I have my September Stitch Fix box to share with you.  I’ve had the same stylist for so long now that I feel like she knows exactly what to send even when I don’t have specifics on my list.

For September I asked for some casual options including some light layers for easy transitioning into fall.  I didn’t really have anything specific in mind.

The box arrived with the perfect mix felt like me.   From some great distressed denim to a really pretty printed top with great details.  Here is what was in my September Stitch Fix box.

September 2019 Stitch Fix

stitch fix daniel rain tassel top

Daniel Rainn – Saharey Tassel Knit Top

This is maybe my favorite piece in the box.  The details of this top are perfection. The sheer sleeves and top detail with the tassel tie closure are great and the print has a fall feel without limiting this tip to just this time of year.  I love that this top looks great with jeans or dressed up with a skirt or dress pants and can layer well under a jacket of cardigan. I kept this top.

stitch fix laily jayde cardigan

Laila Jayde – Rowynn Suede Back Knit Cardigan

This was a great cardigan and neutral color and light weight, makes it a great item to move into fall with.  It can layer over a t-shirt and jeans or a dress making it a great, versatile piece too. The downside of this cardigan for me was the length.  It hung down to just past my knees so I felt like I was being swallowed up in it and instead of being flattering on my curves, it made me look very wide.  I sadly had to return this cardigan.

Daniel Rainn – Brinn Scoop Neck Pleat Detail Knit Top

This is a great, basic blouse to have in your wardrobe.  The color is rich and flattering and there is just enough detail to keep it from feeling too boring.  The only downside is that I kept a very similar top in a very similar color about a year ago and it is still a piece to I turn to regularly.

market and spruce-curved hem top

Market & Spruce – Zanzia Curved Hem Knit Top

I love me a curved hem.  I find that the rounded hem is very flattering on my curves so I have actually come to seek this style out.  I also have a hard time passing up a great stripe. Stripes are my jam.

What I liked about the stripes on this top is that instead of white with the stripes, the background is more of a heather oatmeal color.  The colors have a more fall feel I think. This top was a keeper for sure.

stitch fix kut from the kloth jeans

Kut from the Kloth – Emelina Distressed Frayed Hem Boyfriend Jean

I really like the brand of jean and I have found that they almost always fit like a glove.  These jeans however were extremely long on me and since the hem is frayed and meant to be exposed, I couldn’t make them work.  This is one of the very few times I have ever returned jeans.

That’s it; my September fix.  I kept two of the 5 items this round.  I’ve been trying to be more selective about what I keep making absolutely sure it’s not a duplicate of something similar or something that I can only wear one way.  I would have kept the cardigan and maybe the jeans had they been a better fit but I’m happy with what I kept so it was worth it.

For October I requested some help with an upcoming wedding as well as some boots.  I can’t wait to see what arrives in my Fix.
