I’m excited to share my March 2017 Stitch Fix with you. Despite the blizzard this week, this fix feels like spring! The bright spot in my week.
In case you aren’t familiar with Stitch Fix, it is an online styling service. You sign up on their website and fill out a style profile. Then you pay $20 for your “fix” to be styled. They send you five pieces of clothing and/or accessories based on your style profile. You get three days to try everything on in the comfort of your own home. What you want to keep, you pay for on their site and send the rest back in the provided bag. There is also a place in your account where you are asked to leave feedback for each item they sent. This feedback is about price, fit, style and any comments you may have. The more information you leave for your stylist, the better your fixes will be in the future. The best part is if you keep at least one item from your fix, your $20 styling fee is taken out of the cost of the item. If you keep all five items you get 25% off your entire order.
There were several reasons why I chose to join a style service but the main reasons were that I don’t enjoy shopping and I hate trying things on. This allows a stylist to send me things based on my body type and taste, I can try everything in the comfort of my own home on my own time. Because my stylist sends me style cards, I am also given little visuals of other ways to wear the pieces in my Fix which helps me get more use out of the items I’m keeping. It’s also a little like Christmas every month when I open my Fix. It’s so fun!
Just like my stylist from Trendsend, _ paid attention to fact that I mentioned an upcoming trip we are making to NC. I asked for cute but comfortable pieces that would travel well and still look good but that would still work for me once I got back to real life. She pulled through BIG TIME!!!!
What’s in the box:
1. Daniel Rainn Norberta Halter Neck Top
This top is so pretty! I just love the detail down the front. It isn’t something I’d probably pick for myself but it’s so great. Unfortunately like last month’s blouses, it’s way too big so I’m going to try to exchange it for a smaller size. It looks so cute with the white jeans and turquoise cardigan but I could also see it with a denim jacket or paid with skinnies and heels for a summer date night with B.
2. Kut from the Kloth Kate Boyfriend Jeans
My initial reaction was that I already have white jeans but mine are skinny jeans. I don’t think I would have considered white boyfriend jeans but when they are Kut from the Kloth, they are hard to pass up. These are a slimmer fit than other boyfriend jeans i have tried. I like that about them. These will be a great spring staple!
3. Laila Jayde Bowie 3/4 sleeve dolman sleeve knit top
This top is so simple and comfortable. The 3/4 length sleeve makes it perfect for spring here in PA and for my upcoming trip. I love a top like this that can be dressed up or down and the teal color is beautiful! It was also a little big but I think it works with the style of this top.
4. Laila Jayde Malaya Drape Cardigan
This cardigan is such a beautiful color! I also love the weight of the fabric and style. It’s another great option for spring here in PA and a nice light weight for the warmer temps down south. It’s also another one of those great pieces that I can wear to work, church or even just running around on the weekends. The shape is also very flattering on my curvy body. It’s a keeper!
5. Lulla Emilio Graphic Print Oblong Scarf
I think this is my new favorite scarf. The color and mix of prints are just gorgeous and it goes great with the cardigan but would look equally as great a number of other ways. It actually goes with everything in my fix except the halter. It’s a keeper for sure!
