Your kitchen pantry can be one of the hardest spots in the house to make look good. It can also be one of the most challenging spots to keep organized but it can be done with planning the right elements and some effort.
Our pantry has been the most up-in-the-air parts of our kitchen / dining / mudroom / laundry renovation. We’ve gone back and forth on the layout, the size and the location. We’ve finally narrowed down most of the basics and a general idea of the layout but when it comes to actually making it look decent and stay organized for years to come, I’ve found it a little more difficult to plan.
I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately on organization in general and have been pinning organized pantries to reference so today I thought I’d share some of my favorites that I’ve rounded up from around the web.

Where my brain would naturally go to natural baskets, I really love how clean the clear containers look and how you can see everything that’s in them without it all looking sloppy. (That’s way more junk food than B and I would have but I love how simple it looks.)

I like the mix of natural baskets with the clear containers. Because each row is consistent, it all still looks cohesive and organized. This seems practical for how B and I live too.

While I’m not sure I’d be good at keeping it up, I love how the dry foods are stored in food-safe jars including the spices. This is such a pretty look aside from being functional. Maybe I could aspire to this eventually.

Finally, because we may end up with some open shelves just inside the “Butler”s Pantry”, I have been dreaming of some jars for dry foods that we use most regularly. It’s such a pretty display and keeps everything handy.
These finishing details are a long way off but I’m trying to plan my attack so that I don’t have to load the pantry twice. Containers seem like the way to go for keeping things looking neat and tidy but I’d love to know what you think too. How do you keep your pantry organized?
