Happy valentine's day friends!
Whether you plan to share your day with your sweetheart or with friends or even solo, I wish you a love filled day.

I personally don’t buy in to all the cheese of Valentine’s Day. I know it’s a holiday rooted in history and all that but I don’t buy in to all the expensive gifts just to tell someone you love them.
It’s just who I am, but I do believe in telling those that you care about how you feel. Rather than expensive flowers and/or dinner out, I decided to show my love with dessert. I made festive mini doughnuts using a super simple recipe and then decorated them with white, pink and red frosting as well as varying Valentine’s Day sprinkles.

I loved how pretty they turned out so I had to pull out one of my milk glass cake plates. I found these adorable little heart paper doilies too, perfect for serving them.

I packed a few up in cute little baggies to share with some other important people in my life. Just a simple way to express my love and appreciation for those most dear to me on this special day.

Finally, I stacked the remaining min donuts on one of my vintage plates and wrapped them up for B to take to the office so that he could “share the love” with his team at work.
I would love to know how you celebrate Valentine’s Day. Do you do flowers or dinner or find simpler ways to show your love to those in your life? Leave a comment below. I’d love to know.
