No matter how well you plan out a renovation project, nothing compares to seeing all your decisions come to life in real time. As we slowly make progress on our mud/ laundry room and pantry, I am beginning to feel like the finished product is going to be even better than imagined.

Progress has been slow as B uncovered some issues with work done by previous owners. It’s expected in old houses where work has been done over the years but it does slow progress and sadly can cost more money.

With repairs made to the old floor, the tile is ready to be grouted and the shelves are going up in the pantry closet. The cabinets are here for the pantry and the walls are painted except for a small section of brick.

It’s clear that we won’t be done working on the house for the holidays but with some effort we may be able to get enough done that we can close off what will be the new dining room and at least have a functioning kitchen and pantry.
