Hello Friends. How are you? Really, how are you doing? If you were to ask me, I’d say that while I’m physically healthy, I’m feeling stressed, scared, uncertain and out of control. It’s not easy for any of us to feel like the world around us is spinning out of control not knowing what things will look like tomorrow, next week, or next month. Life in uncertain times isn’t easy.

Life has changed so quickly. Not quite a month and a half ago B and I took a spur of the moment long weekend trip to Las Vegas for a little fun and change of scenery. While there, we watched the news at night and fears of what was to come made us anxious to get home while still wanting to enjoy our mini vacation. We had no idea then that things would change so much.
Just a week after returning home we found our state closing schools and requesting non-essential businesses to close their physical locations. A week after that and all non-essential businesses were forced to close and I moved out of my office so B could work from home and I found myself working in the studio again.
The story is similar for most I guess. Life as we know it looks so different. Many have lost jobs, we can’t come and go as we please and the fear of this scary virus gets more real every day.

I’ve struggled emotionally. Like someone turned the power off, my business which was having a record year suddenly ground to a screeching halt overnight. While I knew in my head that it wasn’t just me and there were things I could do, I found myself not wanting to do anything. For a couple of weeks I watched way too much news, poisoning myself with all the negativity instead of focussing on what was actually good in my life.
All those negative feelings made it impossible to show up here. My Dad made a comment to me this past week how blogging requires you to be in a good mood and positive. I realized that I wasn’t really feeling those things.

The fear of the unknown, fear of family getting sick, fear of losing my business or B losing his job is real and I’m sure you have fears of your own. Whatever your fears through this time, we will get through it together.
I’m trying to make the most of this time and I hope that as I share some of what I have going on, you’ll be inspired for your own home and life too.
Stay Safe. Stay Healthy. Stay Home.
