Laundry and Mudroom Progress

At Home· Laundry & Mudroom· Projects· Renovations

6 Oct

The mudroom / laundry room is finally starting to take shape and I’m now beginning to see what this room is going to feel like when it’s done.  It’s going to be small and fairly tight but I think my design plan is going to make it work.

You may notice the ceiling is missing which will hopefully be installed this weekend.  Just like in our design plan, we went with shiplap / tongue and groove pine.  I painted the boards outside this past weekend so we only have to do touch-ups once they are up.

B informed me this morning that it’s time for me to make my final paint selection for the wall.  That always excites me because paint always helps make a room feel more “finished”.

Our new back door is installed and I have to say that I really like it moved a little closer to the kitchen.  It’s amazing what just moving the door a foot can do.  I also really love that we swapped out the full glass door for this half and half style.  It feels more private being so close to the neighbors.

It’s not much to look at now but with the drywall done, it feels like a real room!
