Summer is nearly here and this week we are finally feeling the heat. Life tends to be much more casual for me through the summer months even when I opt for a dress over shorts. They are simple, instant outfits and the right ones can be just as comfortable as any jeans or shorts. I love a mix of shorter dresses and maxis in the summer but nothing too dressy.
That has made it a little harder to give my stylist suggestions so I wasn’t sure what to expect with my fix this month. While I can honestly say this wasn’t my favorite fix so far, there were some great pieces that will fit well into my existing summer wardrobe. Here is what was in my June 2019 Stitch Fix Box.

This top is lovely. The color is just as pretty in person as it is in the photo. The lace / open lattice detail around the top adds just a little bit of interest to this simple shell. A great option for summer or layer it under a jacket or cardigan in the fall.
SKIES ARE BLUE: Sader Contrast Trim Knit Top

I’m a sucker for stripes in just about any form but this top with the contrasting grey top and coral trim around the neck makes it even better. This was a keeper without question. The material is so soft and hangs so well. A great, casual addition to any summer wardrobe.
MIA: Zetta Slide Sandal

These sandals had me at “hello”. They are a peachy / blush, almost rose gold color with a subtle metallic look. They are super soft and flexible and feel like they’ve been broken in already. I also love that they are light weight. A great sandal perfect for dressing up a bit or going casual.
LOVEAPPELLA: Torri Knit Maxi Dress

This lovely maxi dress looks so much better on. The faux wrap design is extremely flattering on my curves and the length is long but not too long even for my 5″-4″ height. There is a small lace / woven detail on the shoulders and the flutter sleeves are soft and feminine. A beautiful summer dress!
41 HAWTHORN: Dawney Scallop Trim Blouse

The red, white and blue print on this blouse is so pretty and the scallop detail on the sleeves was my favorite. Sadly the fit of this top was really strange so I returned it but this would be a great summer top to mix with shorts, jeans or a pencil skirt.
As we move into the summer months, adding a few great summer pieces to make your existing wardrobe feel fresh and updates is a great option. Stitch Fix is a great way to do that every month or by season and I look forward to what will be in my Fix next month!
