Inspired By: Garden Sheds

Garden & Outdoor· Lifestyle· Real Life

11 Apr

Almost two years ago, B and I decided we needed a little garden shed to neatly house our lawn tools and equipment.  After debating endlessly on where to put it in our tiny yard, we agreed that it should go in the back left corner.

B got to work and built the thing from scratch and my favorite part has always been the black metal roof which was nothing more than left-overs from our garage.

The cute little shed was built and never got a door.  Partly because we couldn’t decide on the kind of door; one large swinging door, two swinging doors (french doors), or a barn door.  The door is oversized for the size of the shed so I ultimately left it up to B to decide and he never did.

Sadly, all this time it’s had a blue tarp hanging in the entrance that over time frayed and looked awful.  One bonus of being home all the time is that B finally had the time to decide on a door and build one!

A couple weeks ago, B finally built a barn door.  It still needs trim and I want to add trim around the little window but now I’m finally ready to start thinking about paint and planting around it to make it feel a little more established.

I guess with our own little shed on my mind lately, I’ve been drawn to pretty garden sheds online and I’ve been using some as inspiration for our own shed.  Today I thought it would be fun to share some of my favorites.
