I’m home from my work trip to Las Vegas. When I planned to write a little bit about my travels, I honestly expected it would be a happy, lighthearted post but instead I almost feel guilty talking about it at all. I feel sick to my stomach when I think about the horrific events of Sunday night. I could hear the concert from my hotel room and later the sirens. It was a night I will never forget and I experience none of the horrible events first hand.
While I had originally planned on going on this trip alone, I decided at the last minute to invite my Mom to go as a girl trip. We’ve never gone on a “big adventure” together and with her needed a break from some stuff in her life, it seemed like a good idea. I can honestly say that after the events of Sunday night, I was glad I wasn’t out there alone. While I was personally never in any danger, it felt good to not be alone.
Overall the conference was good. Some things were disappointing while other things seemed to really inspire me. I’m ready to dig in and take what I learned and implement it into my business. I will also continue to pray for all those impacted by the horrible events of Sunday night.
While walking through the shops in the Venetian, I spotted some really lovely wooden watches but I had to stop and take a photo of this dress made from wood!
Farewell Las Vegas!
