Every home we’ve ever lived in has had white trim so last year when I changed things up by painting the trim upstairs a beautiful gray-blue-green color, I was hooked on contrasting trim.
I’m guessing by now you’ve seen this trend plenty of times and while it’s quite a change from white trim I also believe it’s a classic look that won’t look dated in years to come. Neutral never goes out of style so that’s why gray is a great option for printed time regardless of your style.
We’re doing gray trim throughout the beach cottage to contrast with the all white shiplap walls so I’ve been doing a lot of research and have been gathering inspiration to find the perfect gray and taupe-gray paints to pull off this look. Today I’m super excited to share with you a few of my favorite inspiration photos plus some of the best gray paint colors to copy this look for yourself!

If I’ve convinced you to give this beautiful, classic but modern look a try in your own home, I’ve also got a list of the best gray paint colors to get this look for yourself!

Do you know the exact trim color in the first picture?
Sadly I do not know the trim color from this photo. The photo is from the Scrivano House from HGTV’s Fixer Upper. https://www.hgtv.com/shows/fixer-upper-behind-the-design/the-scrivano-house-pictures
