One of the fun things about home decor is that you always have the freedom to change, makeover and experiment with new trends, a new color love or even new styles as your tastes change and evolve. With all the work and design planning going on at the beach house, I find myself wanting to make changes to our full time home that feels completely different from the beach house so I’ve been finding myself inspired by more of a classic, traditional aesthetic at home and loving new and completely different colors.
Lately, one of those colors has been deep green so today I’m excited to share with you this color that I’m currently loving.

Dark green, whether leaning more olive or more blue, saturated or more muted, has a timeless and classic look. It’s moody and rich with a certain understated elegance that pairs just as perfectly with natural wood and rustic textures or more polished ones like marble.
It can wrap a room in color making it feel more cozy or adds drama when used as an accent like a bathroom vanity. Either way, I know this color isn’t for everyone but I’m currently loving the look and feel pretty confident it’s going to become a part of my life (my home) very soon!
What do you think? Is this a color you’ve tried or have been wanting to try or is this one you’ll pass on. I’d love to hear your thoughts or know if you have a favorite dark green paint color.
